About The Site

Medieval AfterlivesThis website is designed as both a fun and information resource for consumers of medievalisms and we will be adding some exciting new material over the coming weeks and months. Dip in and out at your leisure. It’s the companion site to Bloomsbury’s Medieval Afterlives in Contemporary Culture edited by Gail Ashton which has 29 international contributors and chapters ranging from comics and film to opera, digital manuscripts, and Celtic lore. For more about this book see here: http://www.bloomsbury.com/uk/medieval-afterlives-in-contemporary-culture-9781441129604/

Unless otherwise stated I have written most of the material myself. I have made every effort to avoid errors but I don’t doubt some will have crept in. In true medieval narrator-style I apologise for them here.

I hope you enjoy browsing. If you’ve any comments please feel free to contact me via the publishers or via www.gailashtonwriting.wordpress.com
